About Mud Duck Music

Mud Duck Music was established in the early 1980's to promote and distribute records made by a band called INVADER based in Tucson, Arizona. When Mud Duck Music sold a few thousand INVADER records and T shirts,  they got all excited and decided to sign another band, VISITOR, which was actually a couple of the guys from INVADER, some new guys, a little makeup, and some spandex. VISITOR recorded their first LP in Hawaii. VISITOR did pretty well but never gained national or international attention (they did receive rave reviews and lots of airplay while in Los Angeles).  So Mud Duck Music decided to add a little variety to its catalog by signing SLINGSHOT, a country rock band.  SLINGSHOT did very well for a short while but dissolved when one of the duo had to leave town due to girl problems.  During this whole time Mud Duck Music was being supported by it's owner (and songwriter for all of these bands) DALE BUCHANAN. As the years went by, the sound system was traded in for recording gear, the stage lights for set lighting, the moving van for a mini van (not really), and the spandex.....well, it hasn't been worn for a while.

Now Mud Duck Music is totally dedicated to finding, producing, and promoting talented new artists. And letting the artist have the final say in the creation process. What you hear is what the artist is. There are so many artists out there that are really good, yet have little or no chance of ever breaking into the world market. We are going to help these people do just that. 

Keep the price of new releases under $10 !!!

Are you tired of paying $15 - $18 for a new release just so you can have it now, rather than waiting 6 months until the price drops to a reasonable amount? At Mud Duck Music we sell directly to the public, therefore eliminating a lot of middle men. That means we can sell products for a fraction of the cost, and the artist will still make the same amount of money. 

You can help by giving your support to these hard working artists. Send us your comments, buy their music, tell your friends, play the songs to everyone you know, and some that you don't.
